TRAINING

Our training can be tailored to the needs of each organisation. We believe that, in dementia care, one size does not fit all so please contact us to discuss your requirements.

We offer three levels of dementia training from Dementia Awareness suitable for everyone, to more specialist Effective Communication and Advanced Dementia Care.

This inspirational experiential training has received 100% positive feedback and has been a catalyst for positive change for many.

"I wanted to thank you - that was one of the best training experiences I've had. I’ve been telling everyone about Engage & Create! The experience you provide is incredibly valuable for anyone who works with or has personal experiences of persons with a diagnosis of dementia. I won’t forget what it felt like - it’ll change the way I work with people with a diagnosis of dementia forever. Thank you!"

  • These newly learned skills enable caregivers to shift from simply “dealing with behaviours” to creating a positive caring environment.
  • Techniques learned help with personal care and assisted eating
  • The Gems™ model is a dignified metaphor that defines the many appearances, behavioural changes, skill sets and needs of those living with the effects of dementia, increasing understanding as dementia advances
