So the city beckoned, and off we went to help two different financial services organisations understand how ageing and dementia affects people. 

First up was an away day for a young team from Financial Conduct Authority. My challenge - to help them understand the lived experience of ageing and cognitive impairment. Difficulties managing finances can be the first signs of cognitive issues for people, so banks and financial services really need to understand this ever growing customer base. It was an interactive day, with lots of discussion, 'lightbulb moments' and even a trip out into the city in our 'kit'. Feeling some of the physical aspects of ageing and dementia was a real eye opener for everyone - even those in the role of the 'carer' who felt the weight of responsibility of being in charge of a colleagues safety and wellbeing. ​
